  • Pace of Play Guidelines
    Pace of Play Guidelines

At Gaylord Springs Golf Links, we are committed to providing an exceptional golf experience for every guest. Our Golf Shop, GPS-equipped carts, and on-course Player Assistants work together to support pace of play and ensure an enjoyable round for all. To help maintain the proper position on the course and achieve our target pace of 4 hours 30 minutes, please follow these guidelines.

    Play the Appropriate Tees

We encourage players to follow the USGA’s Play It Forward recommendations and select tees that match their driving distance.

    Average Driver Distance

    • 275+ yards — Gold or Black Tees
    • 250 yards — Blue Tees
    • 225 yards — White Tees
    • Under 225 yards — Red Tees

    Keep Pace

Groups that fall more than 10 minutes behind the target pace should take steps to regain position. If you have reached your maximum score of double bogey on a hole, please pick up your ball, record your score, and proceed to the next tee.

    Be Ready to Play

Prepare for your shot in advance. Align, aim, and play efficiently, limiting practice swings to one or two whenever possible.

    Lost Ball Procedures

If you believe your ball is playable, limit your search to two minutes. For balls hit into dense wooded areas, water, or other unplayable locations, please proceed under the appropriate relief option and continue play.

    Follow Staff Direction

If your group remains out of position, our team may assist by advancing your group to help restore proper course spacing and maintain pace for all players.

Thank you for helping us preserve the enjoyable, championship-caliber experience that defines Gaylord Springs Golf Links.
